ABOUT IGA

India General Aviation (IGA) was established in the winter of 2007 and started operation in spring of 2008. IGA was put into operation due to the overwhelming demand for aviation in India. With this large demand there is a need for infrastructure. The team from IGA has years of experience in operating and sales in aviation. Danny Perna, President of IGA, gained his experience from starting and operating Epic Aviation.

Epic Aviation was established by Danny Perna in Florida, the southeast region of the United States. Danny Perna is third-generation aviation. Danny’s Grandfather, Colonel Anthony Perna, started his career in 1937 as a flight instructor in the US Air Force and continued in the military to complete his career as an Air Force Colonel for the Westside Division. Danny’s father, Tony Perna, started his aviation career at Spartan Aviation Engineering and then went on to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to receive a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Engineering and Business. After he completed his education he worked for Cessna Aircraft Company in new aircraft sales, pilot and technical training. Staying on with Cessna, he worked throughout Europe in field support and business development. Due to his international expertise, he went on to work for an independent Cessna sales company developing fixed-wing aircraft throughout Africa. In the early 1980’s, Tony started his own Cessna independent sales company providing aircraft sales, parts and support in the Caribbean, and Central and South America. He helped develop international single-engine charter operations for the Caribbean and received awards for his top sales and support. In 1998, Tony sold his company and went back to school to receive his Masters Degree and work for a short time defending and consulting in aviation business and lawsuits.  While Tony Perna was still consulting, Danny Perna graduated from Embry-Riddle in Engineering. In the winter of 1999, Danny started Epic Aviation with one Cessna 152 making quality the #1 focus. Epic Aviation stayed true to its business philosophy in staying with quality and came out of 911 one of the best and largest flight operations in the world.  In 2001, Robert Tetrault started at Epic Aviation and became the Vice President in just less then one year. Robert Tetrault came to Epic Aviation with over 17 years management experience from Disney World and helped Epic Aviation grow into a large corporation. Today, Epic Aviation is a full-service FBO, with not only international flight training, but complete MRO services within the United States and worldwide. Danny Perna was first introduced to the Indian market in 2004 and never looked back. Danny Perna personally drove the India business not only training Indian pilots, but making frequent trips to India learning about the aviation scene.  Danny saw the overwhelming demand for General Aviation, however little to no infrastructure to grow. At the end of 2006, Danny Perna made the commitment to fully devote his time and services into developing the India General Aviation scene.
